Network Administrator
The Network Administrator is primarily responsible for maintaining a variety of different systems. The main scope of the position includes administration of UNIX/Linux and Apache servers. The position also entails administration of Windows, databases, system security, telephony, and many others. In addition to traditional Network Administration duties they must be self motivated, have excellent problem solving skills, and be able communicate effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- BS in Computer Science or related fields.
- Solaris / Linux administration.
- Apache administration.
- MySQL Database administration.
- Unix Shell/Perl/PHP Scripting.
- Load Balancing and Firewall.
- Email, DNS, NTP, VOIP.
- Windows XP/2003 administration.
- Active Directory and Exchange administration.
- System monitoring and predictive maintenance.
- Revision control systems.
- Ability to properly document system changes and configurations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Multi-Task oriented.
- Excellent communications are a must.
- Ability to provide high service levels.
- Demonstrated initiative; self motivation to complete tasks on schedule.
- Prior experience working in a team environment to achieve a company's objectives.
